Facebook Weekly Tournament

Is it just me or is the facebook weekly tournament set up just extremely weird? You join a table and next thing you know you're either heads up against someone or you have less than 4 people at the table. I just find it odd that someone can have so many chips when I show up and I'm stuck playing short stack in a tournament. Their interface for this tournament thing is just plain weird. That and its not really a tournament, you play for a bit, leave while you still have chips then somehow rank in the top % of players. It's not a tournament, its a cash game where when you run out of chips you're out. That's all it is.
