Outs and Odds Against are your best tool in Omaha because of the nature of the game and your starting hand selection. In some cases you will have several outs to win the pot when your starting hand allows you for multiple possible cards to finish your straight draw (for example you hold 4 5 6 7 and the board is 9 8 2 3 any remaining 5 will give you a 9 high straight, A will give you a 5 high straight, 10 will give you a 10 high straight leaving you with 11 possible outs.)

All odds against are to 1. For example if you have 1 out in the hand and are trying to figure out your odds against all the way to the river you are 22.5 to 1. In other words you are going to have to play this exact same hand 23.5 times for you to win once.
